As an EIT in our H&H group, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects—serving public and private clients—while collaborating with experienced engineers and leveraging industry-leading tools like HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, GIS, XP-SWMM and AutoCAD Civil 3D. What You’ll Do:

  • Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models for projects involving bridge and culvert design, roadway drainage, storm sewer systems, and watershed-scale analyses.
  • Support FEMA floodplain mapping efforts, including LOMR/CLOMR applications and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct scour and erosion assessments for bridge foundations and hydraulic structures.
  • Assist in watershed master planning and stormwater management projects to support flood risk reduction and infrastructure improvements.
  • Work on drainage impact analyses and stormwater detention studies for public and private developments.
  • Utilize HEC-RAS (1D & 2D), HEC-HMS, GIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other software tools to perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and deliver real-world engineering solutions that protect communities and improve infrastructure resilience.
  • Prepare technical reports, exhibits, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and regulatory agencies.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering, with a focus on hydrology and hydraulics or water resources
  • Texas E.I.T. certification (or ability to obtain within one year).
  • Strong technical foundation in hydrology, hydraulics, floodplain modeling, and stormwater management.
  • Experience or coursework in HEC-RAS (1D & 2D), HEC-HMS, GIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and interpret engineering data.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Passion for infrastructure development, flood risk management, and sustainable water resources engineering.
